Epidemic

Help! I'm being swept away by the Olympics! And from what I can tell, people all over campus are catching the Olympic fever as well. How can I tell, you ask?

One of my friends randomly starts a conversation with, "You know? I want to walk down the aisle to the Olympic theme song . . ."

or

During a lecture, Dr. Mitchell describes the Revolutionary War using half-pipe snowboarding jargon . . .

or

Students cut ahead in the SAGA lunch line, impatient to catch up on the latest USA medal count, even if it draws them closer to their thrice-daily doom . . .

Okay, I don't actually have solid evidence of the last one, but beware . . . I'm sure it's on the verge of happening . . .

But you know what? I kinda like it ;)
